After relocating with his family to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1999 he worked with Toll Brothers as a construction manager, while qualifying as a Combination Inspector with the ICC / ICBO and InterNACHI. He worked as an on-call Specialty Inspector for various Bay Area Companies and as a building inspector for the City of Dublin, CA.

Tiring of the daily 100 + mile commute, and under the guidance of an established San Francisco inspector, he opened his own building inspection company in 2004.

Stephen is a long time Peninsula resident and when not inspecting can be found cooking gourmet meals and exploring the Bay Area with his wife.
